Hello, I'm Rens Cools and in this podcast I take ample time to talk in depth with artists about their lives and work. We explore their background, talk about their influences, sources of inspiration and creative processes. This is how I help you understand art better! Until recording the podcast, I had never met Marie in real life. Through Instagram and Spotify, I discovered and got to know her. And that is immediately the reason why I decided to invite her for an interview: she has managed to authentically make classical music, sometimes considered dusty, relevant again. In this episode, I talk to her about how she ended up behind the piano as a five-year-old, her years of study, the hours of rehearsals she puts in every day, as well as the history of classical music and even the technical workings of a piano.
